Upon investigation, they discovered that Violet had given birth in August 2023 but tragically passed away, leaving behind a baby boy named Favor Imosi.
Despite their efforts, they couldn’t bury her due to a staggering mortuary bill and ward charges totaling KSh 250,000.

Violet’s father, Michael Obwaku, revealed that she had left home in 2022 to seek employment in Nairobi. Although she found a job, she vanished in June of the same year without a trace.
The landlord informed the family that Violet had left her residence unlocked and her dinner untouched before her disappearance.
The family’s distressing search concluded when they learned about the unclaimed body in the hospital mortuary through an online post.
Further inquiry revealed that Violet had admitted herself to the hospital on August 8, underwent a cesarean section the next day, and tragically passed away the following day.
The hospital, unable to locate her family, cared for her newborn son until recently when the family managed to retrieve him.
However, the grieving family now faces financial obstacles, with a mortuary bill of KSh 168,000 and a pending ward charge of KSh 73,000.
