Medical Officer – 8 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities 
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.  Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

• Undertaking “First-On-Call” duties including clerking, investigating, and managing patients;
• Conducting weekly clinic and theatre days;
• Working with medical specialists in attending to patients in clinics;
• Undertaking medio-legal duties including filling p.3 forms;
• Undertaking medical examinations;
• Responding to intern calls;
• Carrying out outreach services;
• Ensuring data and information is collected, transmitted and utilized to benefit the customer and service providers; and
• Preparing medical reports.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

• A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) Degree from a university  recognized in Kenya;
• A Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; and
• A valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
