The sports community is urgently searching for Jane Hato, the captain of the Kenya Starlets under-20 team, who was reported missing on Thursday. 

According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), Hato has been missing since Wednesday evening. Initially, her teammates believed she was simply delayed, but as her absence continued into Thursday, their concern grew.

The FKF released a statement acknowledging the situation, highlighting Hato’s role as the captain of the Kenya U20 Women’s National Team and a player for Kenya Bullets FC. 

Hato’s failure to join her team for the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers in Ethiopia raised alarms among her teammates.

Kenya Police Bullets FC, where Jane also plays as a midfielder, confirmed her disappearance and urged anyone with information to report to the nearest police station. 

Her family, who lives in Saika estate along Kangundo Road, has not heard from her since she left home on Wednesday evening.

Jane’s mother, Anne Aluoch, last saw her daughter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday when she left home, dressed in a navy blue tracksuit and orange sports shoes. 

Jane previously played for the Mathare United women’s team before joining Kenya Police Bullets FC.

Anyone with information on Jane’s whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station or reach out to her mother at 0710 322 573 or Jectan from FKF at 0727 382 466.
