In a tragic incident at a hospital in Nairobi’s South B area, a 72-year-old man lost his life after fatally shooting himself outside the emergency section. 

Identified as Abdalla Mohamed, the man reportedly discharged his Berreta Pistol, causing instant death. 

The unfortunate event unfolded as Mohamed sat in the back seat of a taxi he had arranged to transport him to the medical facility.

Prior to the incident, Mohamed, who possessed a valid gun license, had retrieved his firearm from a safe and subsequently met with his lawyer. 

Following the legal consultation, he directed one of his regular drivers to ferry him to the hospital. 

Upon arrival at the medical facility, Mohamed unexpectedly produced the gun and took his own life while waiting in the emergency area.

The motive behind Mohamed’s actions remains shrouded in mystery, as there is no clarity regarding his health condition or the purpose of his visit to the hospital. 

Sources indicate that Mohamed seldom carried his pistol with him, yet on this particular day, he opted to bring it along, a decision that ended in tragedy.
