Additionally, Justices Chacha Mwita, Anthony Mrima, and Lady Justice Grace Nzioka are included in the shortlist.
However, some notable figures did not make the cut, including former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, former IEBC vice chair Lilian Mahiri Zaja, Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) chairperson Priscilla Nyokabi, and Justice Nixon Sifuna.
The JSC has invited the public to submit any pertinent information regarding the shortlisted candidates by May 13, 2024, at 5:00 pm.

Earlier in the year, on February 2, 2024, the JSC announced vacancies for 11 Court of Appeal judges who will serve until reaching the retirement age of 65 years (for early retirees) or 70 years, as outlined by law.
These positions offer a gross monthly salary ranging from Ksh.775,845 to Ksh.1,187,152, based on guidelines from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
