As part of their investigation, police revisited several crime scenes and gathered CCTV footage from a petrol station along Mombasa Road, where a suspect was seen refueling a vehicle believed to have transported the bodies.
This vehicle, since recovered, is thought to have been used after a body was disposed of in Machakos County.

Among those questioned was an accomplice who allegedly communicated with the primary suspect on the night of the killings.
The two shared a rented house in Eastleigh, which was rented informally from a landlord now also providing a statement.
Two additional suspects were apprehended in Nairobi’s CBD, accused of selling the primary suspect a phone worth Ksh. 23,000.
The suspect had left a phone number associated with a woman at the shop. CCTV footage from a building in Eastleigh also captured the main suspect with another individual, Warris Said Daud, on the night of the murders.
This prompted detectives to expand their investigation to the Buruburu neighborhood, gathering further evidence.
In a related case, an individual resembling the main suspect was detained in Dhobley, Somalia, but later released after interrogation and identity verification.
Prayers for the victims were held at Al Noor Mosque in South C, with a subsequent burial at Lang’ata Cemetery, attended by Bashir Shariff, the husband of Warris Daud Said and father of young Nusayba Abdi.
