Six individuals tragically lost their lives at the scene of the accident, while two others succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical attention.
The aftermath left nineteen others injured, with fourteen of them rushed to Karen Hospital, three of whom are in critical condition.
Further medical care is being provided to three individuals at Ngong Hospital, while two more are undergoing treatment at St. Mary’s Hospital.
In response to the distressing incident, police and rescue teams are actively engaged at the site, working diligently to retrieve victims from the river and provide necessary assistance.
