Additionally, Major General Fatuma Gaiti Ahmed was sworn in as the new Kenya Air Force Commander, while Major General Paul Owuor Otieno took the oath as the commander of the Kenya Navy.
President Ruto called on the top command of the Kenya Defence Forces to perform their duties with diligence and integrity, emphasizing the solemn responsibility of their roles. He reminded them that their appointments are meant to serve all Kenyans, not just specific communities or religious groups.
The president highlighted the KDF’s long-standing reputation as a professional and loyal military unit, urging the leadership to maintain high standards and collaborate with other agencies.
General Kahariri’s promotion to the rank of General and appointment as CDF came two weeks after General Ogolla and nine other military officers died in a helicopter crash.
