Governor Sakaja Appoints Godfrey Akumali as Acting Nairobi County Secretary

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has appointed Godfrey Akumali as the acting County Secretary, with Akumali also taking on the role of County Chief Officer (CCO) for social services. 

In a statement issued on Monday, Sakaja confirmed that Patrick Analo Akivaga will retain his substantive position as Chief Officer of Urban Planning and Development.

In addition to the appointment, Governor Sakaja announced several other reassignment changes among the County Chief Officers. 

Geoffrey Mosiria has been shifted from the Health Facilities sector to the Environment docket. Tiras Njoroge, previously with Smart Nairobi, has been reassigned to Revenue Administration and appointed as the acting CCO for ICT Infrastructure.

Boniface Nyamu is moving from Mobility to Business and Hustler Opportunities, while Zipporah Mwangi transitions from Business and Hustler Opportunities to Public Participation, Citizen Engagement, and Customer Service. 

Machel Waikenda, formerly in Economic Planning, is now assigned to Mobility, and George Mutiso will leave Social Services to take on the Cooperatives role.

Hibrahim Otieno is moving from Environment to Health Facilities, while John Lintari will take over Economic Planning from ICT Infrastructure. 

Additionally, Lydia Mathia is transferring from Public Participation, Citizen Engagement, and Customer Service to Housing and Urban Renewal, and Wilson Gakuya will shift from Revenue Administration to the Smart Nairobi docket.
