In her statement, CJ Koome expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the Judiciary and JSC, extending condolences to Majanja’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire judicial community.

She emphasized solidarity during this time of mourning, urging compassion as they collectively mourn the sudden loss.
Justice Majanja was appointed to the High Court in 2011 and served in various locations including Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu, and Kisii.
At the time of his passing, he was stationed at the Milimani High Court Civil Division. Recently re-elected to the JSC, he played significant roles in committees such as Human Resource Management and Audit, Governance, and Risk Management.
Majanja held a Master of Laws from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi.
