Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspecting the compliance of the cooperative societies to the cooperative act and their financial statements.
  • Giving audit reports of the undertakings by the co-operative societies.
  • Reviewing audit working papers by documenting audit tests and findings.
  • Evaluating and implementing audit reports of the societies.
  • Preparing audit reports.
  • Carrying out audit inspection on annual accounts of cooperative societies.
  • Examining vouchers, cashbooks, and ledgers confirming the propriety and accuracy of the transactions.
  • Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen (attach ID).
  • Possess a bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) and Business Administration (Accounting option) and passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination.
  • Registration with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants will be an added advantage
