However, Mathare’s quest faces challenges as they grapple with dropped points against Dimba Patriots and Silibwet in their last two outings, settling for draws in both encounters. 

Currently occupying the last automatic promotion spot with 65 points, they trail leaders Mara Sugar by four points and hold a slender two-point lead over Naivas FC.

Meanwhile, Naivas FC, despite displaying impressive form throughout the season and topping the table at various stages, has faltered recently with consecutive defeats against Mara Sugar and Kibera Black Stars. 

Their promotion aspirations suffered a blow, but they salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw against Vihiga Bullets last weekend.

Looking ahead, Mara Sugar seeks to maintain their momentum as they pursue their first-ever promotion to the top flight.
