Despite his efforts to remain firm, he was eventually overpowered by the crowd, suffering injuries from the chairs thrown at him.
Meanwhile, similar unrest was reported in Nyeri, where locals lit bonfires and took to the streets in protest against the impeachment motion.
The public participation exercise, aimed at gathering citizens’ views on the motion, is underway across all 47 counties.
